2. What data we process, why, and on what legal basis
We process only the data you give us when you write to us and the technical data needed for the website to work. Fields marked with * in the forms are required: without them we cannot handle your request.
- Supplier form (farmers and cooperatives): We process your name, farm or cooperative, municipality, province, type of biomass, tons per year, phone, email and message to handle your request and assess a possible biomass supply. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep this data for 1 year after we resolve your inquiry, after which it is deleted.
- Investor form: We process your name, organization, investor type, role, email, LinkedIn (optional) and message to assess your request for information and send you the project dossier. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). The data is deleted 1 year after we resolve your inquiry. Information aimed at investors is for general information only and is not an offer or investment advice.
- Contact form: We process your name, email, subject and message to answer your inquiry, on the legal basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). We keep this data for 1 year after we resolve your inquiry.
- Contractual relationship: If your inquiry leads to a contract (supply, collaboration or investment), we will process the data needed to prepare and perform that contract, based on pre-contractual measures and performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)). We keep this data while the relationship lasts and, afterward, blocked for a maximum of 6 years.
- News by email (optional checkbox): We collect your name and email with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 21 of Spanish Law 34/2002, "LSSI") to send you project news. We keep this data until you withdraw your consent. As proof of your consent, we keep the date, the time, your IP address and the text you accepted.
- Website operation and security: We collect your IP address and technical connection data, based on our legitimate interest, so that the website works, to protect it from attacks and to prevent spam. This data is kept for the minimum time set by our hosting provider.
What this website does NOT do:
- It does not use analytics or advertising tools, so it does not measure your browsing or track you across pages.
- The map on the contact page is an image stored on our website; it does not connect to Google automatically.
- The biomass calculator runs directly in your browser, and what you type does not leave your computer unless you choose to send it through the form.
- Fonts and videos are served from our own website, not from Google Fonts or third-party video platforms.
3. Who can see your data?
Your data is seen only by the people at IBERIACHAR who need to handle your message. We use providers (data processors) that act under contract to protect your data:
- Cloudflare: To host the website, protect it from attacks and check that the person submitting a form is not a robot.
- Brevo: To deliver to our mailbox what you write in the forms and, if you check the box, to send you news by email.
- Namecheap: To manage the domain and the mailbox.
- Advisors and public authorities: Your data will be seen only by our professional advisors, who are bound by confidentiality, when your inquiry requires it, or by authorities if the law requires us to share it.
We do not sell your data or share it with other companies. If, in the future, it becomes necessary to share your inquiry (for example, with a project partner), we will tell you first and ask for your permission.
4. Does your data leave the European Union?
Some providers may process data in the United States. When this happens, they ensure security through the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. If you want a copy of those safeguards, write to pfernandez@iberiachar.com.
5. Your rights
You can, at any time and free of charge:
- Find out what data we hold about you and ask for a copy (access).
- Correct data that is incorrect (rectification).
- Ask us to delete your data (erasure).
- Object to our use of it or ask for the temporary restriction of processing (objection and restriction).
- Ask for your data in a portable format (portability).
- Withdraw the permission you gave us, without affecting what we did before.
To exercise your rights, write to pfernandez@iberiachar.com with the subject "Data protection". If you do not agree with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
6. Security and minors
The website uses a secure connection (HTTPS) and we strictly limit internal access to messages. This website is not aimed at children under 14, so if you are under that age, please do not send personal data without the permission of your parents or guardians.
